During the COVID-19 outbreak, New York State has temporarily expanded eligibility for the “Home Delivered Meals” program for seniors to anyone age 60 or older! To obtain the Home Delivered Meals, the Senior must: Call 845-486-2555 for an interview Be prepared to accept a call back from Office for the Aging (OFA) staff NOT BLOCK UNIDENTIFIED PHONE NUMBERS. OFA staff are working from home with their personal phones to conduct a brief phone interview. Staff are hiding their phone numbers, so call may come from an unidentified private number. Staff cannot reach callers whose phones are set to refuse calls from blocked numbers. After a brief phone interview staff will arrange to deliver 5 frozen, nutritious, low sodium, low sugar meals/week/person aged 60 or older. There is a suggested, but not necessary, donation of $3/meal.
