Chair Yoga classes are designed to increase flexibility, balance and strength through range of motion exercises, stretching and relaxation practices.
Senior Chair Yoga will incorporate all of the aspects of a gentle practice while either seated or standing holding on to the chair for stability. It is modified for this group to increase strength, flexibility and reduce stress, while practicing in a safe supportive environment. The benefits of yoga as we age are endless. Whether you are big, small, old, young, serious, goofy, flexible or not. Yoga begins where YOU are. Not where you were yesterday or where your neighbor is. Every BODY is different and you can find YOUR best Self in Yoga.
Our instructor is Dawn Arcone, who has been teaching yoga since 2013. She completed her Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification in the spring of 2020. She celebrates the beauty of individuality; students come to class with individual goals, strengths and challenges. She strives to create an atmosphere where all feel welcome, safe and supported.
