  • COVID 19 Updates as of 6/29/20
    Beekman Recreation and Parks updates!  What’s open and what’s closed?
    All is subject to change! 
      • Ongoing:
        • Volume 1 of “Camptivities” is now available for pick up in front of the Rec Office between 9:30am and 3:30pm, M-F.
        • The basketball hoops are up and functional.
        • Park bathrooms remain closed – plan your visits accordingly.
        • The Rec Office is open by appointment – see details below on 6/15/20 update.
        • Playground and swings are open at Rec Center Park and Town Center Park
        • The fields at Town Center Park will open for youth practices affiliated with Beekman Athletic Club (BAC) and Beekman Soccer Club (BSC) only.
        • The fields at Rec Center Park are open to families who want to hit a ball, etc.
        • The Tennis and Pickle Ball Court is open to members. Membership is open to Beekman residents and is available at the links.
        • is available through next week at the link or hard copy at the Rec Office.
        • The beach and camp programs are cancelled this summer.
        • Dogs are NOT permitted in Town Center Park or Recreation Center Park but may be walked on the Doherty Park Trail
        • Dog Park is open to members only. Click the link for information.
      • July 7:
        • BAC and BSC youth Leagues may start having games on fields at Town Center Park and Doherty Park.
        • Rec bathrooms will be open 10-3. Bathrooms at TCP will open when a work project is completed.
        • Mini-golf will be free to Beekman residents, weekdays, by reservation, between 10 and 3 (details on how to book to follow).
        • Sand Volleyball court will be open at Rec Center Park.
      • July 15:
        • Pavilion rentals can be booked from this date forward, but capacities and distancing rules must be followed (as of now the groups must be 25 or fewer)
      • Fall:
        • The Sept. Senior trip to Silver Birches has been cancelled
        • The Senior picnic may be moved to Oct.
      • On the Fall schedule pending the situation:
        • Senior trip on Essex Steam train
        • Fall Festival for Sat. Oct. 17
        • Snowflake Spectacular Sat. Dec. 5

  • COVID 19 Office Visits Updates as of 6/15/20
     
    The Town posted it’s “Re-Opening Guidelines” and Rec and Parks added the following addendum for:
     
    Physical Distancing and Public Access to Rec Office  
    • The Rec Office hours are M-F, 9:15-4, by appointment only
    • Residents are encouraged to communicate by:
      • Phone 845-227-5783 or
      • email
      • Patrons are encouraged to do all registration online with a credit card to eliminate exchange of money and checks
      • Patrons are encouraged to pick up in advance, or print at home, and complete, any required paperwork prior to entering the office
      • Access is by appointment only and limited to one individual at a time (leave family members at home or in car)
      • Due to the narrow ramp/path to the Rec Office entrance, guests will be asked to wait 6’ from the path to allow anyone in the office to leave prior to their entering
      • Face covering will be worn when approaching the ramp to enter the office and upon entering
      • Once in the office there will be a table to the left for visitors to sign in; it will be equipped with pens, sanitizer and any needed forms not previously completed
      • The same table will be designated for pick-ups and deliveries

The mission of the Town of Beekman Recreation & Parks Department is to provide recreational opportunities which will encourage a healthy and active lifestyle.  We strive to promote lifelong leisure skills and to enhance the quality of life and sense of community for all residents of the Town of Beekman.

If the system says you HAVE an account; your "Username" is your email address.
Definition: For the purposes of registration and memberships, a "household" is defined as a family with up to 2 parents and their unmarried children under 24 years of age living permanently in the residence; if there are multiple families, grandparents, other relatives, nannies or babysitters living at the same residence, each must set up their own account.

Each year the Town Board approves fees for all programs and facilities and every attempt is made to update each page on the website.  In the event of any omissions or errors on an individual web page, the fees linked here are the accurate ones.
